+ How is the value of my equipment determined?
The value of your device will depend on a variety of factors, including the demand for your specific item in the secondary electronics market and its condition. When you visit the MacExperience trade-in site, you'll answer a few questions about your item. Based on the information you provide, a MacExperience technician will determine the approximate value of your item and send you a quote. After receiving the approximate quote, you can bring in the product for a final evaluation and a final quote.
+ Can my quoted value change?
Yes. Once your item is received, it is evaluated for a final value. Should the final value differ from the original quoted value, you will receive an email explaining the change. Should you not accept the adjusted value, you may have your item returned to you at no cost.
+ Does the quoted value ever expire?
Yes. Quotes are valid for 30 days. After a quote expires, you may request another quote.
+ How will I be paid for my equipment?
You will either receive a check (within 14 business days) or instant in-store credit.
+ What if my device has no value?
We will offer an easy way for you to recycle your item responsibly.
+ What should I do with my old equipment before I send it in?
MacExperience recommends that you perform a complete backup and data wipe (erasure) of all the information on your old computer. MacExperience assumes no responsibility for loss or confidentiality of personal data on equipment. If you are trading in a mobile device with a SIM card, please remove the SIM card prior to visiting MacExperience.
+ What happens to my equipment after I send it in?
MacExperience will test and assess the equipment to determine if it qualifies for reuse. Qualifying equipment, tested in working condition, will be sold as "used."
+ What happens to my personal data?
MacExperience's data erasure process includes complete data removal. MacExperience recommends that you perform a complete backup and data wipe (erasure) of all the information on your old computer. MacExperience assumes no responsibility for loss or confidentiality of personal data on the equipment.
