Two Apple Products Make Time’s “Best Gadgets Of Year” List

Apple is no stranger to various “Best of” lists, especially when it comes to Time Magazine’s annual Best Gadget rundown. Past generations of iPhones and iPads have been given this recognition by Time, including 2011’s number one spot that went to the iPad 2. So what about 2012, did Apple have an off year? Hardly.

This year’s top ranking goes to Apple yet again with the larger-screen, panorama-shooting, lighter-case having, faster-processing, Siri-talking iPhone 5. Sure, there are lots of nice phones on the market, but says Time, “But when it comes to melding hardware, software and services so tightly that the seams fade away, Apple still has no peer.”

And that’s not the only Apple accolade on this list. Coming in at a respectable number 6 is the Apple 15” MacBook Pro with Retina Display, the highest-ranking computer or tablet. “[Apple] likes to make ‘em really thin and really light,” says Time, adding, “Retina display has nearly five times as many pixels as you’ll get on a more mundane 15” notebook, making for the most ink-on-paper-like images you’ve ever seen on a computer.”

The 15” MacBook Pro with Retina Display is a thing of beauty, with aluminum casing and coming in at a light 4.6 lbs. But it also delivers some real computing power and ease of use. What’s in store for next year? More advancements from Apple, including their iPad mini, which was announced earlier this year. And in 2013, we’ll keep giving you Apple Certified support, great customer experience, and offering you superior Apple products all year long.
